Proposal Feature
The proposal feature allows shops to be able to send proposals to clients so clients can choose which options they prefer.
How to enable the Proposal feature
In Shop Manager, only the person with the role of 'Owner' can activate this feature. You can go to Settings → Shops → Your Shop Name → Shop Settings → Misc. Settings → then check the 'Enable Work Order proposals' box. Then click 'Save' on the bottom right.
How to Use the Proposal Feature
- You can now create a normal work order with canned jobs. You can also include add-ons that your client can select to add to their invoice. You can do this by selecting or creating a canned job, then toggling on the 'Add-on button'
- Now that the feature is enabled, when you go to create a work order, you'll notice it says 'Option 1'. You can then click on the '+' button to create the second proposal.
Now you have your second proposal that you can build out:
Make sure to toggle on the 'Show' button so it will show up as an option for your client to view in the customer portal.
- Now you can send the proposal as a normal Invoice link or Quote link. When your client clicks on the link, they'll see the Proposal Portal, where your client can click the 'Select' button to choose which option they want. They can also select the add-ons they would like to include. Once they select their choice, they will get a message saying their selection has been chosen.
- Back on Shop Manager, you'll get a notification that a proposal has been chosen. You'll also see a notification as a red dot on the work order saying a proposal has been chosen
- You can go back to the work order, then click 'Customer Choice' and confirm their choice so they won't be able to make further changes.
- Then you can create the appointment for the client and move them to the scheduled status.
