How to set up and use Text Templates
If you're using Shop Manager’s Voice & Messaging features, you can save time (and stay consistent) by setting up Text Templates for your customer messages. Here’s how to get started:
Go to Settings
Head over to Settings > Shops , then click on your Shop Name.
Create a New Template
In the Templates section, click the “New Template” button in the top right.
- Name and Set the Type
- Give your template a name
- For the Type, select Customer SMS — this ensures it shows up in the texting section when you're ready to use it.
- Then in the Content section, you can put your text template message in there. Feel free to use the 'Insert dynamic text' option that allows you to add a 'Customer First Name' and 'Customer Last Name' option so when populating the text template, it will generate the first name or last name of the client automatically.
- Then you can click Save to save the text templates.
- Now you can go to the Text Message section, then to the left of the Attach Image icon there will be the Text Template icon you can click to select which text Template you want to use.
- You can now see your text templates to choose. You can also click on the pen icon to the right of each template to Edit them. There is also an Add New button on the bottom where you can add new templates also.
