How to Process A Refund

  1. To process a refund for a customer, navigate to the Work Order containing the original payment. You can find the Work Order under the Work Orders page or by navigating to "Contacts" and then the "Work Orders" tab under that customers' account. 

  1. Select the Work Order that needs to be refunded.

  1. Click "New Payment" on the right side pop out menu.

  1. In the upper right you'll see all the transactions on record for this Work Order. If you click the drop down carrot, you'll have access to the "Refund" button for that specific transaction.

  1. Confirm that you want to continue with refunding the full amount.

  1. You'll now see that the payment amount has been refunded and updated on the transaction history. The amount due will also be updated if there is any remaining balance due on the Work Order.

  1. Optional: For future records and shop communication, we recommend adding notes under the payments page as to why the refund was provided. You may need to reference this in the future.
